Dr. Patrick Unemori is a board‑certified dermatologist with a distinguished career dedicated to advancing dermatologic care through innovation, equity, and accessibility.

A graduate of the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), he completed:

  • Medical school
  • Dermatology residency
  • Fellowship in HIV Dermatology

His research on immunosenescence, Kaposi sarcoma, and HIV‑related skin conditions has been featured in leading medical journals and presented at international conferences.

Leadership & Clinical Impact

Dr. Unemori previously served as Chief of Dermatology at Highland Hospital, as well as at Alameda County’s Eastmont, Hayward, and Tri‑City Health Center clinics.

Long before the COVID‑19 pandemic, he helped pioneer early teledermatology systems designed to expand access for under‑resourced communities.

His clinical journey also includes roles at:

  • Kaiser Permanente Oakland
  • Palo Alto Medical Foundation
